Serving up hot Country music.
![]() Bill is a musician to the core. His motto, "I love music," is a phrase he collects in as many languages as he can. Bill has been playing guitar since the fourth grade. Along the way, he's added saxophone, bass, synthesizers, mandolin, and percussion to the list. While earning a BS in Electrical Engineering at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, Bill studied Music Theory, Composition, Electronic Music, and Audio Recording. He joined his first country band in the early '80s when Marti Cassidy and Sundance saw some success in Central Ohio with Bill playing bass and singing backup vocals. Since then, Bill has played pit orchestras for many community theater groups while being a studio session player and playing in bands in many genres of music. Upon retiring from engineering in 2001, Bill now owns a recording studio (Fox's Den Recording), promotes and organizes the Soundscapes concert series, volunteers as a DJ at WDIY and WMUH, and plays in several bands: The Critters, the Municipal Band of Allentown (a community concert band), Malarky (a Celtic band), Pinnacle (a progressive rock trio), Banish Misfortune (a Celtic/Eclectic group), Xeroid Entity (an electronic music trio), and, of course, Silverthorne. |
