From Route 22
Exit Route 22 at 15th Street.   Go south into Allentown several blocks (about 1.2 miles) to Liberty Street.   Turn right onto Liberty and go two blocks to 17th Street.   The Fairgrounds are on southwest corner of 17th and Liberty Streets.   From Liberty Street, Gates 8, 7, and 6 are on your left.
Romper Day is celebrating its 91st year in the City of Allentown.   The program opened this year on June 21st and will continue through August 12th.   Each day, children enjoy exercise and prepare for race competitions, dance routines, performing the classic flag drill in total unison and practicing to capture 1st place in the Maypole during the annual Romper Day.  

This year, in honor of General Trexler’s 150th birthday, Romper Day will return to its original site, the Allentown Fairgrounds.   Activities will be begin at 3:00 pm. on Sunday, August 8, 2004 by a concert by the Municipal Band of Allentown.
